Sub Agent - Structures

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent (Structures) to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways infrastructure project in Gloucestershire.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Sub Agent to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex structural works, including reinforced concrete structures, bridges, retaining walls and associated civil engineering works on a nationally significant highways scheme.\n\nWorking closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing sections of work from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nManaging the day-to-day delivery of structural packages on site\n\t\nCoordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers\n\t\nEnsuring works are carried out in accordance with specifications, drawings and programme requirements\n\t\nSupporting the planning and sequencing of works to maximise productivity\n\t\nManaging quality assurance processes, including ITPs and inspection records\n\t\nReviewing and implementing RAMS and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements\n\t\nMonitoring progress and reporting on programme, costs and risks\n\t\nLiaising with client representatives, design teams and key stakeholders\n\t\nSupporting the commercial team with change management and compensation events where required\n\t\nDriving a positive safety and quality culture across the project\n\nRequirements\n\nPrevious experience working as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or Section Engineer on major civil engineering projects\n\t\nStrong structures experience, including reinforced concrete, bridges, retaining structures or similar heavy civils works\n\t\nExperience working on highways, infrastructure or major projects environments\n\t\nGood understanding of NEC contracts\n\t\nStrong leadership and stakeholder management skills\n\t\nHNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline\n\t\nCSCS Card essential\n\t\nSMSTS preferred\n\t\nTemporary Works knowledge would be advantageous
