Wax Operative\n\nWe are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Wax Operative to support our clients manufacturing process. This hands-on role involves wax injection, trimming, inspection, and maintaining tooling to produce high-quality components.\n\nThis position would suit someone with manufacturing or production experience who is comfortable working to tight tolerances and quality standards.\n\nRole Benefits:\n\nLocation: Sheffield: S9\nContract: Full-time permanent\nHours: Days & Nights rotational (shift flexibility required) - Days - Monday to Wednesday (Apply online only) and Thursday (Apply online only) & Nights - Monday to Wednesday (Apply online only) and Thursday (Apply online only)\n£13.50 per hour + 12.5% shift allowance\nFull training and structured skill development\nOpportunity to progress within a specialised manufacturing environment\nStable, team-focused workplace\nOvertime opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out wax injection and trimming processes to specification\nInspect wax patterns for defects such as air bubbles, distortion, or incomplete fills\nAdjust machine parameters to correct quality issues\nMaintain dies and tooling in clean, working condition\nAccurately complete production records and job paperwork\nWork to daily/weekly production targets\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times Essential Criteria:\n\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing, production, or factory environment\nAbility to use hand tools safely and accurately\nStrong attention to detail and ability to spot defects\nComfortable working to targets, deadlines, and quality standards\nBasic understanding of Health & Safety in a workshop or factory setting\nGood level of numeracy and literacy (for completing job sheets and documentation)\nReliable with good timekeeping and attendance\nWillingness to work shift patterns and overtime when required \n\nDesirable Criteria:\n\nExperience in investment casting, wax processes, or similar precision manufacturing\nPrevious experience with injection moulding machinery or process setting\nAbility to read and interpret basic engineering drawings or specifications\nExperience identifying and correcting process defects\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices\nForklift or other factory-related certifications (if relevant)Skills & Behaviours:\n\nPositive, team-oriented attitude\nWillingness to learn multiple processes across departments\nAbility to work independently once trained\nFlexible and adaptable to changing production needs\nTakes accountability for quality of work
